Sunday in Sibu for birthday party + Day 2

Story is continue from the SMALL living room- enough for all of us to snap, snap, snap... non-stop. And we even play outside the road *shy*
*peek-a-boo*
the sum of their age allows you to get senior citizen's discounts.Told you that those Sarawakians are passionate and being good hosts to us. The host brought out the home-made biscuits/ buns out. Oven- fresh! This is their 光饼 (guang bing). "Guang" means light. ANyway, no light emitted -.- They have various type. The one in our mouth are with minced pork. Nice. Imagine the pork bun with softness. In the market is around 3 for RM 1.20!!!Ok, darkness reigned. And it's 7 something only. Here we have our party. Catering and some home- cooked food. We were so stuffed by some noodles which known as "kampua." It's like our Wantan Mee but tasted much better, more springy the noodles. no pic here, sorry XD exactly the same look lah!! The most yellowish in the centre of us is the birthday girl- whom always pack less when travelling home as her mom will just buy new clothes for her if not enough, according to her. She was crowned with her present, a big big big bunch of (cuddly- pillow) banana. Ok, I am inside Kenari. We were brought out for some sight- seeing. See some night view. (look, where am i?)A bunch of us walked on the road, cross the road, the rough divider in the centre (which almost scatch my thigh)... It's around 9 pm. And the frequency you see any vehicle pass by is about one in every 2.5 minutes! Even Alor Star is not that.... erm... pathetic? peaceful?

Ok, tired so we headed back to our respective 'home' and sleep like a log. *tick-tok, tick-tok...*

Day 2 in Sibu
Morning~~~~ Bonjour!Ok, it's a great morning with Ag's mom serving breakfast! Very early, the other friends arrive and we, those staying in Ag' place were just about to wake up.*sluuuurrrrrp* LAM PUI a.k.a wet rice! Not porridge! No no no!Wet rice and some simple home- cooked food. The brown thingy were chicken in soya sauce- thumbsup!Finish eating then we prepare to go out walk- walk lo!! Girls in pink and I'm the widest of all! love the blue blue sky! This time I don't need to sit in the boot. YEAH!Special in Sarawak: Chinese words on signboards. imagine how packed the signboards would be when long long Malay street names being translated to Chinese language. In Alor Star, you see Jawi + B.M.Today the journey is all about parks/ gardens. Behind us is some rocky park within a residential area. Long ago, there was water fountain and now no more. In our place, if you get a children play area you should feel so happy and close your mouth and laugh. Imagine, one non- luxurious residential area with this kind of infrastructure. Are they too wealthy or spacious?
Have I not introduce my roommate? The one on the most right in darker pink tee.
Neh, neh, neh~ Rocky park... and the pool is too shallow to be true... Reflection nice or not ^.^ ?We were acting so happy and the fact is we were under a scorchingly hot sun, giving me tanned line and being moody and irritably! But sunny girls look pretty all the time! Hey, you know what time is this? It's 11 plus!!! Thanks to Kenny -.-" Under shade of umbrella whenever possible is cool. Behind, there was a pool, formerly a mining pool (if I remember well).

Ok, then we continued to visit next park. On the way, we passed by some Catholics cemetery. So, the next photo would tell you how the place look like. hmmm...just scroll down fast if you want to avoid it.
It's ok, gut-dependant XD

Next, it's this park. Some difficult name to remember.
The greenish pool have a lot of fishes and tourists can just grab some fish food for 1 bucks and they'll come near to you! None of us were kind enough to play with fishes. My mood was kind of affected by the hot weather.Very affected to the extend of heading to shaded area to take pictures and let the photographer zoomed in... and my responsibility is to smile as happy as possible, as if the weather is so lovely. I don't know why, I just don't quite fancy outdoor. Being indoor or outdoor you still get some skin damages anyway, so why not get'em by sitting in air-cond room, drinking more water and apply sun- block plus skin lotion plus lip balm... That's more comforting! Sweat makes me smell bad and sticky and leading to moody and emotional and frustrated!Wearing jacket to prevent hot sun from aging our skins. Extra umbrella will do a better work! Here hiking up for some better view.Hate the shakiness of hanging bridges. Sarawak has hanging bridges at almost all parks. And they have many parks in the first place. Getting up so high, closer to radiation and sunburn! Ouch~Here, the peak. The background was Sg. Rajang with factories for tree trunks along riverbank. Hate chopping off trees. Make the weather getting worse.Tea break: lil cup cake. or egg cake. (what cake doesn't made of egg anyway?) This kind of cakes were once my fav during chidlhood. Cakes in fish shape or round lil dome shape! haha... Childhood is good! Adulthood- you got to buy cakes on your own.Ok, this's another park. *big hot sun* Nai Tang Park 乃棠公园
It's a park to commemorate those FooChow ancestors who came over to Sibu from China, and develop this Sibu. Think Kapitan who develop KL. Or Parameswara who founded the Malacca and made it so big and occupied by jealous- superego people. So, it seems Sibu wasn't that rich that time.

Ok, so 3 of us(from left: Joyce, Wendy and me) stood before the statue of Nai Tang. *salute**serious* and it seems someone can't hold for a moment and seriously, burst out laughing after the shutter sound of my camera.A curvy wall with marble all over. From left: Choon, Joyce, Wendy, Irene, Orange, me, Sophie, Helen and S.Ling (roommate!!)

Ok, after sweating and burning for the whole noon, finally we get to bathe and dressed up for dinner in Sze's house! On reaching her kitchen, to our surprise/ horror,

So many food were there waiting for us to savor! My fav!! Assam BBQ chicken wings. Immediately I had my hands washed and tuck in! Dislocate the joints and *yum yum* savor heartily. And I had a lot of nice double-boiled chicken soup! I love soups!!!! YEAH!After food, we have big 'toy' to play. Hey Hey! Cute baby waiting pretty nurses to feed him (or her, forgotten) Refused to be burped, can't stop sucking the milk.Oh no Joyce, see how did you sit that time just to take photo with the big fat baby!!! Whose baby is that? Sze's someone's baby right?

Ok, after dinner, we left the house with a great thanks to Sze's Eurasian- alike mom and headed to Paw's grandma's house for SUPPER! EAT AGAIN!

That's all, too long. You may not be able to swallow your saliva fast enough. Save the aromatic red wine mee suah and muachi-alike tang yuan for next post! To be continued.......... :)
