Oops, crazy lately!

Recently, I found new craze/ favor/ addiction/ liking/ admiring/ interest/ perspective (?!) and and-so-on on...

  • Jay Chou

It's was not my cup of Earl Grey tea when my cup was always filled of Lee Hom王力宏. Thanks to YouTube 'cause I watch a lot of MV. First time (since he was first out-to-market, around 2001) I found the lyrics of most of his songs. Last time I heard a lot of him from mat-mat (he was learning guitar mah) but I think he was so ugly!! (Ooopss) A lot of songs are sad. ALthough the lyrics are super meaningful, either from Fang Wen San or Jay himself. SECRET不能说的秘密- make my tears cascading down to the cheeks! **wuu wuu--gam dong gam dong*** "Listen to mama (听妈妈的话)got my 2-thumbs-up.

*p.s. Don't judge my outdated anthenna!

  • JAcky Wu's longest running TV show-Guess 我猜

Thanks to YT again 'cause a lot of shows are available! Jacky's Wu is always a good joker. Doesn't matter if his joke is cold. Oh gosh, his voice is good also. He sang a lot of (old) love songs~ Sometimes sounds yellow also. Sometimes offensive.

  • Fahrenheit 飞轮海

Correct 'spelling'? Ok, not all. Not Wu Chun 吴尊 but the other fellows. I don't really like them lar... Just found them cute. (I quite like cute guys!) Wu, he is of too many girls'. So, I don't want to like the common 'thing'. It's just so usual~ Well, to make it clear, he is just an idol. The others, hmmm... Wang- cute. Chen- look likes student boy leh ( so cute~) Who else? I don't know who are they or how many of them. I found their show in YT as well that's why I found new perspective about those idols!

  • YouTube

Of course. 'cause I can easily found any cartoons or whatever inside. Even when someone dedicated a song for you, something like "When will I see your face again- Jamie Scott", that's the most safest place to go (for my level of knowledge). This statement is true as author a.k.a blogger was trying to download " I want to spend my life by loving you" using Limewire. And *taa-daa*

My laptop was attacked by big Horse neh~~

#*@!$

  • Nuffnang

It's so happy when you can earn $$ with your own blog! Just blog, you type and type and type and type and type and type...... Then one day you'll be sent a cheque! I was very very very happy when I earn RM 0.75 that day. Oh my~ So that's why I'm trying to invite friends and fellows to trace my life dot blogspot dot com so that I can have better traffic and web counter can give me better record of visitors. Nuffy should give me commision lar. 'cause I 'influenced' ah mul to join Nuffnuff! That's why I 'have to' show my blog address in FB. Or else I won't. *wuu wuu* (I terpaksa punye)

  • Not studying

XD Blame the net so wide. Blame the Celcom 3G broadband so sufficient for me to online. Blame the books too thick. Blame my ego (huh?!) Terminal Exam is at the last week of October. Some people already started preparing slides for case study presentation which is anticipated to be held after the exam. So anyone want to help me out??

  • Baby

'cause I dislike infants and toddlers. I like those who are still not yet one year old 'cause they are so cuddly and chubby! And their cries are much softer, less irritating than the >2-year-old-fellas'. * yesterday a baby's wee-wee 'shoot' onto my uniform. *sigh*

Blame me (again). I was too close with him *shy shy* *ahem hem hem hem* when he is not yet wearing the Winnie the Pooh diapers. Just finish boo-boo. Mummy just cleaned! Lil butt is still not yet dry. (Wait for the water to evaporate!!!!!) XD

  • Waiting-to-go-home-to-celebrate-Raya

What to do! It's just time for a break before I come back to work in Nursery+ Labour Room+ O&G ward. I just need some time to get ready myself, to practice my voice so that I can sing HAPPY-BIRTHDAY-TO-YOU song to all the babies when I see them being squeezed out! Ya, I'm describing the process of uterine contraction as a squeezing-lemon juice action. Or, you can imagine early morning squeezing Darlie or Colgate.

  • camwhoring

I am trying to capture the footprint of time on me. (Can't you just bear with me, peep? 'cause that shows how normal I am) I got acne problem after working with children. I stick face-to-face with them. I like to do that. I feel that's cute and comfortable. I thought that they might not have oily face or what. It's not disgusting. Wahahaha^^^^^ I learn this deep word from ah mul and Cheesie. It's simply an activity of daily living or daily routine for all the narcissists. ( Laugh, that's a joke!)

*p.s. I think I always talk a lot. My post is always so so so long. Too long and nobody will seriously read, I told myself! Something I need to clarify here, cute guys are cute but it's always wise not to choose a too-cute-guy as partner. You are inviting troubles to yourself.

Call?
(can publish here? neh, don't want to tell YOU)

Menu is big size. The nice left hand is mine (not available), just to show you how big is it.

This is a big bowl of Kimuchi Ramen for ah Sze. The big bowl made her to be a laugh topic in future. Talk about the soup base, it's very fresh (seafood in it, perhaps) and tasted like kimchi or tomyam. Spicy and sour. Are you convinced that it's only RM 22 for this whole (BIGGG) set? This is a rice set, sweet chicken. With veggie. But Lin request to change it to tofu (below). The side dish ('s bowl) was so big, man. Like the size of a Chinese soup bowl. 'cause they use big bowl, thus got to serve 4 big pieces of tofu (beancurd) as well. Never be doubtful about Japanese food. Not only they look nice, they taste as good as their presentation. Are you convinced that this whole set is 22 bucks?

"Hi, hi...Ya, ya...you ask me is it nice? Sure, of course. Or else I won't come. ( give me discounts, tauke) XD" "Did I puasa? Ya, ya I was as if starve of happiness. Now I found them from all these plates." (discounts some more!! Mali mali hum...)

Tempura rice. Got tempura prawn, tempura brinjal (in exchange with a piece of tofu from Lin( 'cause I hate it or I don't love it(Lin offered me so I must take and she doesn't hate it or do love it))), tempura potatoes, tempura mushroom (Gosh, I (almost) fly to the ceiling (and hit the bubu lamp) when I first indulge in it).

Cold soba. I don't know why. I'm just LOVING it. First time I eat it with squaill egg and some fried things and lots of bawang ( onions?). Are you convinced that my (happiness) set costs RM 20?

Ya, ya. No kidding, babe. Just RM 20 for a bowl of tempura rice and a plate of noodles and miso soup and salad and pickles and so on( and my HAPPINESS). Yes, with simply RM 20 you can buy me a set of Jap. dinner (happiness as bonus). So, would you? *ngek ngek* I would be *sob sob* *gam dong~***

After eating, there're 20 over of plates and crockery. No need I wash, so nevermind. Well, even I need to wash, I'll do the same as well. That's what we call 'dining'. I eat, not only I enjoy the cooking skills (waseh, as if I'm Chai Lan!) I enjoy the food presentation also. Of course, the quality time with my friends.

Dealing with children('s tears and with tears)

That basically what I heard and what I do for this time. Besides taking temperature, well, serving medication is definitely a no-no for them. Imagine if you see colourful liquids, sticky sticky, and you have a few colourful one at once. The nice colour, e.g: PINK is to disguise its bitter taste. *vomit*
Today I fed a lil boy to eat. He had around 5 types of suspensions in syringes. Around 6 ml altogether. Well, usually we talk about BENEFICENCE instead of autonomy. Don't talk about autonomy with a fella who can't call out "papa mama" yet. Right? Ya, I'm right. Thanks God 'cause He knows all kids don't like medication when they are sick so He gives all of us a natural instinct- the swallow reflex. I learnt from moms. Pump in 0.5ml like that, then pinch their nose, then they will "automatic" close mouths and *gurp* then me, *taa-da* (well done, BRAVO).
Newborns are cuter than toddlers by my standard. My friend said next time if her kids naughty, we all can slap him 'pengsan'... If husband also, then slap also. Pretty HOT! Nah, my friend is cute and pretty!
Actually working in that kind of place, people (like me) tend to think a lot. Of course, you don't see much of age-declining golden history-makers. But you will picture more on mothers' love. Papa's love. Ah-ma's love. Ah- kong's love. Everyone's love.
Boy boy/ girl girl stays in 1st class ward is super high class. Since it's single room, morning you may see mummy sleeping beside baby, then papa sleeps on the sofa, then some more ah-ma sleeps on the sofa bed. Don't know want to feel 'gam dong' or feel 'chek ak'... (wah, my hokkien improve neh~)
There was one time, just to check on a baby, the mother needs to use pillow shield his eyes, don't let him see us (nurses doing 'bad' things), the ah-ma got to caress him. papa need to pujuk pujuk.

So,
it's important to marry the right man, girls. (next time his mother can help you jaga anak also= BONUS) SOunds not right but it's a fact, a reality. Dealing with naughty, crazy, heartbreaking children is not easy. There are time when they begin to mess you up and be rebellious. Kick you, irritate you, scream at you...
Today I heard a sad story. A newborn died IU. Mother collapses. First pregnancy. Dad was so sad, to witness an anticipated happy delivery to be a last sight of his first baby. I was affected initially. I really couldn't accept it. Theoretically, everything was normal. But life is like this. In the evening, I got the new updates. The mom has awakened. Dad told the staffs never tell mummy about baby.

*sob sob*
Love your parents (more, as early as possible) It's always too late to apologise.

It ain't feeling good

... to work in new place. especially facing with big bully kids. Their cries are screamingly sharp and great pain in my brain. Cute when they are quiet. Very soon they shouting hysterically, screaming for help when it's time to check temperature, blood pressure... The moment those lil fella see my thermoscan, they realise that I'm going to put into their ear. Thermoscan is something very brilliant to check temperature. It's done within 3 seconds. But dealing with kids, 3 seconds is very difficult. I would hope there will be something pointing on their foreheads and *taa-daa* siap~~
Wonder why I promote Redoxon? Nah, it's my Vitamin C supplement that I need to take for strengthening my natural defence. I seldom eat citrus fruits here. So I need the effervescent Vitamin C. It's very nice and fun, seeing the tablet fizzing inside my glass, giving the 'hissing' sounds. Like Sodium 'hissing-ly' react with water-experiment during Form 4 school time. It's fizzy until penetrate my purse a hole! RM 17 for 15 tabs!! Why I need to take supplement while working with paed? Why not when working in adult wards? 'cause 'people' said the pathogens in children are very harmful to adults. Don't know why. But to all student nurses and medical nurses, you guys can have a try. Besides, *touchwood* see whether I need to get MC during this 2 weeks. If I fall sick (Oh, I don't want!) I need to replace it since it's considered as special unit. Staffs in children's wards are prone to fall sick. Although kids' size are small, but doesn't mean that their pathogens are less powerful, said Master Sifu~
Well, it's last case study for this semester, render 20% for the subject- Professional Development. The previous one I got 16.8%. Case study on ethical issue. Something very subjective. Everyone may have different point of view. But I guess academically, everyone will give same answer. That's what we call smart people. Confidentiality, autonomy, paternalism, beneficence, veradity, non maleficence, fidelity...Which one is your priority? Are you democratic enough to listen to lay man? If you are a patient, which one you want it to be honoured first? *laugh*

Car issue and DAD

Nothing much different between the two. Just post' em up because since I took them.

So, I spent my Sunday night for lantern night. With games, tits-bits, no mooncakes but roti canai. Ms. C sponsored us RM 100 as a token of thanks (or she sayang us) for a big bouquet of rose for her convo. She just got her Master in Nursing from Monash Uni. Nah, my college here a few of them are masters (Sifus) XD
The night was so hot. I was so HOT *oucch* 'cause I perspired a lot lah~~ I fed mosquitoes. I thought it would be in indoor so I forget about the repellant.
Actually, I thought I would be able to bring car back to Penang that day. But, too bad. Dad said He wanted to go to Prangin Mall to see(/buy) tripod. (But then the next day, when I asked him, he said it's too big so he didn't buy!) I was a bit too sad for not getting a car here. I was sad *wuu wuu*
After many hours of thinking+rationalising+accepting, I guess I know why. Buying tripod was a coincident. Even though he has nothing to buy, he would still insist to send me back. He would rather to drive back to 100+km-away's home.
Imagine, if I got a car here, then he will not be able to come over to Penang anymore. When my long holiday arrive, I am no longer need him to fetch me back (with few big bagss along~) I can drive home.
What I can say is this, to rationalise his action. At home, they are not short of cars. In fact extra one for me. To top it up, I think he worries me a lot. In case of tyres puncture, he may not want to see me changing tyres at the roadside. Again, I say. This is just my way of thinking. Assuming we have the common values.
What make me sad is seeing him driving back alone in a car...(if nobody free to accompany him come, if mom is busy with restaurant, if 2 sisters are busy.)

Saturday-Sunday

Hospital established by a group of missionary and run by nuns. It's Roman Catholic hospital. below is a view from outside of chapel. Last Saturday, there was a study tour. Pretty nice view from the top floor. Inside was very quiet as it was a Saturday. I think it's quiet and 'inactive' for most of the hospitals. Usually if you are working morning shift on that day, you need to busy with lots of discharges. The pharmacist showed us the room- insulator for diluting cytotoxic drug (a.k.a chemo). As its name implies, it's cancer drug. If you are not wearing complete PPE( personal protective equipments), if a lil drop of solution 'kena' your any part, you are more likely to get *ahem hem* cancer *arr chiu*... The people said should wear mask also. To prevent from inhaling aerosol in the air. Not ordinary filter type but the one used during SARS outbreak. (forgotten what model la...N something...)

We went in to the Radiotherapy room. There are around 4 doors to go inside. Walls are super thick. Well, the person (not sure is he an oncologist) speaks in heavy Indian accent to explain about the accuracy, isotope, planning etc. It's very CHIM... but well, at least something very significant to me. He said, accurate in calculating and planning give maximum dose to the tumor and minimum dose to the adjacent healthy tissues. He told us something new- Brachytherapy. Brachy means near in some language (Greek I guess) It's to treat internal type of carcinoma. Like prostate cancer and cervical cancer (so, get yourself immunised with Gardasil-around RM 1k for 3 full doses). Need to insert applicator inside first, under general anaesthesia in operation theatre. then when give treatment time, connect it with something look like wire. The therapy give high dose in short time. Normal radiotherapy gives 2 GY at once. But this Brachy gives 30 GY at once. like 15 times stronger.
Actually all that he said was super big words, bombarstic to me. Like isotopes- I've forgotten it. But it's very interesting. He solved my doubt all this while. Last time it's hard for me to imagine how can it be accurate. Well, I know that what he intro was a tip of an ice berg. Truly CHIM. Very cool, I would say. I saw the mould used to immobilise patients, and head one as well. Something like put screws around a big ring, so that you dont' move even you are in great fear. Of course, that's for treating brain tumor time. What do you expect in such a hospital? Nothing exciting about it. It looks quite down on the hillside, facing the sea. Constantly they need donations from good people to buy very 'IN' and advanced equipments. What if the Menteris don't go for 'study tour', then take the money to donate for them. M'sia so big, nothing better to study meh. Go taiwan for what, they can't eat good food there, non- HALAL. They don't know who is Chiling Lin or Jolin Tsai or anyone. I heard they bring along golf bag for study tour worr... Interesting leh?

Bus arrived, time to leave already. But we still take the time to take photo (for memory). The middle girl, she's sponsored by Island Hosp, this means that we'll be separated after finish study...Her laughter is always unforgettable~
After visit, I rushed home. I eat mua chi. Very happy to see them. Which corner of Penang I can get them at price of RM 1.50 for 5? The one I put in my mouth was RM 0.80 per ball. Big, but roughly equal to 2 small one only.
Sunday, 1630hour- leave Alor Star. Haih...

Tired

I was exhausted and worn out for Test II...TOday just called it an end. There was always a lot to study, and too broad to spot questions... We thought either Denggue fever or malaria is going to come out. But when I read, it's HIV-state the standard precautions. Sounds easy 'cause we take precautions all the time but quite difficult to answer. Obstetrics-told you that gonna be a major one. My tutor was a professional tutor for midwifery post-basic course. So basically she gave us a lot of input which is not that important for exam now~ It's so susah 'cause you need to know what happen at what weeks. Tired...So tired. After 6 weeks, it's my TERMINAL EXAM. *crazy* Next week I'm going to Paediatric ward to jaga paeds lor...Got 4 days are posted in labour room before Raya Holiday comes. I hope I don't faint inside...

One Sunday

This very morning, which I wake up in sweetness of new day, I had a good start. I online, I study and I had good time for lunch and subsequently...
The previous night I had taken only instant mee with oats in Milo. Yesterday rained cats and dogs, kitties and puppies...This morning I heard my friend said that Jalan P. Ramlee there flooded. Well, to replenish my lost nutrients and meet my high body demands, I eat ho liao at a Japanese restaurant at Cantonment Road. My set was just RM 10! Then went to kia kia in a tanglung shop which actually selling liquor and wines. So many-ies~ I chose a typical colour paper one. RM 1.50 only. Then went to eat Baskin Robbin. Buy 2nd with 31%. I had Chocolate Fudge (was trying to pronounce it 'dge'-ly or else it sounds not right!) and Cherry berry passion. Hot choc toppings make it melt so fast. And I think I love whipped cream when it's matched with Starbucks coffee... The cream on top of ice cream makes it so...ermm...so tasteless! One scoop of cream plus one scoop of chocolate, put in your mouth...no reaction inside. Don't have the sparkling fireworks over my head. Only Ratatouille can pick the best match, perhaps! About the mooncake, it's free supper for last night from my friend. It's free for her too, and she shared with me. It's Baker's Cottage chocolate tuffle and white one is...hmmm...(forgotten) Well, it said it's bing pi, but the look of it, it doesn't look like its kind pun. Chocolate one nice, melty chocolate surrounded by lotus paste. White core is cheese- so not nice.(I told my friend the same thing too lah, I didn't lie to her eh~) Something in common, both are super thick flavor and oily! First time after eating mooncakes have to use tissues to wipe fingers! Arghh, so happy to eat mooncake, first time eat this type. Actually I only like to peel mooncake's skin and eat. Lotus paste is too sweet for my tooth. Got to back to my study-Endocrine: Diabetes Mellitus

Duh~

Within 3 days, I got myself injured and hurt. All with unsightly wound. First night, I slipped and fell when I was rushing to the door for roll-call. Unaware of my bag on the floor...My right knee was lacerated and some skin excoriation on foot. Next day, when I was about to go out for dinner, when I wanted to wear my slippers...My left foot sole...*sob sob* Skin lacerated, with 2 open wound- impaired skin integrity, risk for infection, pain...
Recently I injured myself easily. Reasons? Unknown. Besides, I have a big pimple on my forehead. So big (ouchh) so pain. No respond to conventional treatment gel so far.
Next Thursday and Friday I would be going through Class Test II. After that, it's the end of theory week. And got to be posted to ward. This time would be special unit, either nursery, labor room or paeds' ward. Anyway, we'll rotate eventually. After 2 weeks, it's Raya holiday-1-week home.
I was learning Obst now. Everyday there's an Obst. class as it is a long topic to teach.
Probable signs of pregnancy- positive signs-pelvis-gravid uterus-placenta-lie-vertex-breech-fundal height-antenatal checkup-stages of labor-puerperium-postnatal care............
It's definitely a lot to remember. Well, these are all Diploma level only. If next time in future, want to specialise in midwifery, there'll be lots more to cover! Anyway, I told myself that i'll never take that. I would rather go for ICU or Operation Theatre etc.
My tutor-a pro in that field showed videos and slides on delivery. I have great feelings, of course. First time when I watch it, I went crazy and semi-hysterical. I may not want to describe in too details. But the "place" engorged, man. It's all because of MAN. Something coming out, then head crowned(face facing downward), then pusing(face up)......then bloody placenta coming out(3rd stage of labor)......
Arghh~ I am made out of water, man! I'm emotional at times. *sob-gam dong*
Mothers are great. Women are great. Why husbands still abuse wife?

"During puerperium (layman termed as confinement-6/52) mother has to recover from physical and psychological stress and prepare for new role/responsibility...Worst still if husband is not around...or the husband went out cari perempuan, if someone told you that your husband was in where and where with another woman......"

Every word that my tutor said haunts me instead. I mean, it planted, deep rooted in my minds. Future is always uncertain. With faith or not, change the thing.
Sometimes, I would think that why most of the time and most of the XX are under control. At young, controlled by parents. Adult time, when married, controlled by husbands (directly or indirectly). Is it really wife(woman) should please the husband(man)? Why not vice versa? But not the type of takut-wife one...like Crayon Shin Chan's father =s
Can man feel proud if he has a woman that is capable to make decision, make a call, have a say? Decision making is important. Of course, I admit that sometimes I'm lazy to make decision, especially where to go, where to eat. Or else, I'll know what I want. I know the importance of negotiate with you as well.
Obst- made me think so much, so deep! And, so farrr~
Nah, it's not i never generate ideas or bombard myself before. But, it just gave me new ideas and prospects.
Weather is so cold, giving me watery nose. It's late. Got to study OBST~~ :(
