That basically what I heard and what I do for this time. Besides taking temperature, well, serving medication is definitely a no-no for them. Imagine if you see colourful liquids, sticky sticky, and you have a few colourful one at once. The nice colour, e.g: PINK is to disguise its bitter taste. *vomit*
Today I fed a lil boy to eat. He had around 5 types of suspensions in syringes. Around 6 ml altogether. Well, usually we talk about BENEFICENCE instead of autonomy. Don't talk about autonomy with a fella who can't call out "papa mama" yet. Right? Ya, I'm right. Thanks God 'cause He knows all kids don't like medication when they are sick so He gives all of us a natural instinct- the swallow reflex. I learnt from moms. Pump in 0.5ml like that, then pinch their nose, then they will "automatic" close mouths and *gurp* then me, *taa-da* (well done, BRAVO).
Newborns are cuter than toddlers by my standard. My friend said next time if her kids naughty, we all can slap him 'pengsan'... If husband also, then slap also. Pretty HOT! Nah, my friend is cute and pretty!
Actually working in that kind of place, people (like me) tend to think a lot. Of course, you don't see much of age-declining golden history-makers. But you will picture more on mothers' love. Papa's love. Ah-ma's love. Ah- kong's love. Everyone's love.
Boy boy/ girl girl stays in 1st class ward is super high class. Since it's single room, morning you may see mummy sleeping beside baby, then papa sleeps on the sofa, then some more ah-ma sleeps on the sofa bed. Don't know want to feel 'gam dong' or feel 'chek ak'... (wah, my hokkien improve neh~)
There was one time, just to check on a baby, the mother needs to use pillow shield his eyes, don't let him see us (nurses doing 'bad' things), the ah-ma got to caress him. papa need to pujuk pujuk.
So,
it's important to marry the right man, girls. (next time his mother can help you jaga anak also= BONUS) SOunds not right but it's a fact, a reality. Dealing with naughty, crazy, heartbreaking children is not easy. There are time when they begin to mess you up and be rebellious. Kick you, irritate you, scream at you...
Today I heard a sad story. A newborn died IU. Mother collapses. First pregnancy. Dad was so sad, to witness an anticipated happy delivery to be a last sight of his first baby. I was affected initially. I really couldn't accept it. Theoretically, everything was normal. But life is like this. In the evening, I got the new updates. The mom has awakened. Dad told the staffs never tell mummy about baby.
*sob sob*
Love your parents (more, as early as possible) It's always too late to apologise.
