Well,a BF(bad-friend,he called himself like this) told me this when I need to go to Sungai Nibong Bus Terminal to send my friend off.
Yes, this is the phenomenon we confront often, in our life.
Meeting- we meet new friends, new family members, new classmates, or even new bosses and colleagues in the future. And of course, we meet our soul mate too, during our duration on earth. We meet the particular one, then we get marry, sleep with the same pillow, then meet another batch of new family members again, our offspring.
Then, the meeting process keep on cycling, continuosly.
In chemistry, when two processes are taken place simultaneosly, we call it EQUILIBRIA. Neither one can take place alone.
And so does the process of meeting and separating.
In life, we often meet and separate, and separate and meet...Again and again...
Separation- when we going to secondary school at the age of 13, we wave goodbye to our primary school schoolmates who we used to play with, bullied by them, fighting together; When our old, aged, physically weak family members leave us upon Heaven's calling, we wept, burst into tears when death set us apart forever. When a man and a woman, joining their body, mind, spirit together, both of them leave their fathers and mothers, brothers and sisters. On the day of marriage, girls' mothers always cry for their girls, for their leaving, for their happiness brought by the man their daughters had chosen.
There's linkage between separation and meeting. I mean, It's always related to each another.
See, when we need to wave goodbye to old school buddies, we are actually saying Hello to our new batch of schoolmates. I am studying in college now, without any old friends, but i have met a lot of new people around. No doubt, meeting new people broaden my prospects.
The sadness reigned in the Keat Hwa school hall, on the day of our graduation. Sadness reigned as the piano played the song "You yi wan sui."
Yes, say 'Cheers' to our friendship of yester-years and yet, years to come.
Separation, always starts with sadness, ends with sadness too. Hugging, eyes wet with tears, many many of last reminders, everything when the time of separating comes aknocking, everything is beyond comprehension.
Perhaps, the feeling would change one day. But, I still being thankful for what I have had before. No matter how it was, and how it going to be.
