The dayS I had in Wards~

It’s the 3rd week now. Coming to an end SOON! Then I can go back to class, for theories++ my favorite instead! I don’t know why I just like to attend class a lot! Though clinical practices give me some practical fun and experiences, some human-human touches, but I always miss the time I had in class! Couldn’t help it. Well, next Friday I’m going for a class trip to Air Itam damp. It’s National Day holiday. Saturday noon, after working, then I’ll be on my way go home! HOME SWEET HOME!
For the past 2 weeks, I learnt a lot, to look at bright side! I learnt how to put up drips, count the rates, make a drip run smoothly when stuck with bubbles, I fed patients thru R/T. Ryles’ tube feeding a.k.a nasogastric tube (NG tube)…I did dressing twice. My first time was highly done by my instructors. Basically I just stood nicely aside. LOL =) Today I did one was a diabetic’s foot. Incision and drainage done. Not bad. I gave injections as well, intramuscular-ly and subcutaneous-ly. Pethidine, Hyoscine, Actrapid( an insulin)…
Today I met a special person. I guess it’s the patient’s grandson. And ya, my guess was correct. That guy called the ‘ah pek’ ‘ah gong’! My friend asked me to notice this guy one. The reason was that guy, in my friend’s point of view, was good looking and ‘sentimental’. He stood at the bedside and just stared at his grandfather sleeping. Stood there for some time. When my friend and I need to apply ointment on the patient’s body, he came into the screen. That time, we saw this guy’s eyes and nose were red in colour. Signs of weeping!!! When we ‘sapu’ the cream, he woke him up. The old man heard and woke up. My friend called him but yet no response!
Hmmm, there’s a strong feeling in between the relationship which no one else could interfere! A relationship which give no space for someone else to enter. Allow no 3rd parties. In the world, not just the BGR thing has this power. Any relationship, any bond can do so!
